Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of YBees (the "Service"). By connecting a YouTube channel or otherwise using YBees, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. YBees is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google — your use of YouTube itself remains governed by YouTube's own Terms of Service.

1. What YBees does

YBees connects to a YouTube channel you own or are authorized to manage, and provides analytics on live chat and comments: sentiment/stance classification, bot and troll detection, and (optionally) automated moderation ("Auto-Block") that can ban users from your live chat via the YouTube API on your behalf.

2. Your account and authorization

• You must own or have explicit authorization to manage any YouTube channel you connect.
• When you sign in with Google, you grant YBees specific, scoped permissions via Google's own consent screen — never your Google password. You can review or revoke these at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
• If you grant the live-chat-ban permission, you are authorizing YBees to act on your behalf to ban users matching moderation rules you configure. You are responsible for the rules you create and for reviewing pending matches before approving them (unless you explicitly set a rule to auto-approve).

3. Billing

• YBees uses a pay-per-use wallet: you top up a balance via Stripe, and usage (primarily AI classification calls) is deducted from it as it happens.
• Top-ups are processed by Stripe; we never see your card details.
• Wallet balances are non-refundable except where required by law. Unused balance has no cash value and cannot be withdrawn.
• If your balance reaches zero, paid features (like new AI classification) pause automatically until you top up — this never triggers additional charges without your action.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use YBees to harass, target, or ban users for reasons unrelated to genuine spam/bot/troll moderation of your own channel.
• Connect a channel you don't own or aren't authorized to manage.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, reverse-engineer the Service, or use it to violate YouTube's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.

5. AI-based classification is not perfect

Bot scores, stance classification, and content tags are generated by automated systems (including third-party language models) and can be wrong. They're intended as a decision aid, not a verdict. You are responsible for any moderation action you approve, including bans, especially any rule you configure to auto-approve without review.

6. Service availability

YBees depends on third-party services (YouTube Data API, Google OAuth, LLM providers, Stripe) that are outside our control. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability and aren't responsible for outages or data gaps caused by those providers, including YouTube API quota limits.

7. Termination

You may stop using YBees and disconnect your channel(s) at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, abuse of the Service, or fraudulent billing activity. Any remaining wallet balance at termination is handled per Section 3.

8. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, YBees is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including moderation actions taken through Auto-Block.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
